C Am Don't you think the sky is really blue? I want out of here, there's got to be Am* C Not a cloud in sight Some place for the dream in me Maybe one or two C Am Am* C Too few to mention, the music stares at me, so cold and sequential Looking out at Pacific sunsets to Austin sunsets Keeping time with the perfect sounds of my heart beating C Am Slow it down, twist it round Wish it could've been you And slap me on my back, anxious waves of Am* C Idle time pass over me and Instead of her cold eyelids Make me aware C Am Am* C Is it true? If you were here I'd ask you That close and close and never open, here's to hopin' The sky is blue - if you were here I'd ask you G F F C F Give me one more chance I suck your kisses down C G C F To try to be a little more I suck your kisses down G F C F C Unkind - hide those things that you don't I suck your kisses down C Am Am Want me to know It's true G G Is it true? If you were here I'd ask you The sky is blue - if you were here I'd ask you The backbone of the little riff during the verse goes like this: C Am Am* C G------------2---2---2--------2--2-0---0---------- D--------3---------------------------3---3-------- A-3--3-3---3-------3-----------------------3------ E------------------------------------------------- + + + + + + 2 + You should finger/play the rest of the chords as well to sound like the recording. The + signs indicate what the bass guitar plays on the lower octave, and the 2 is where I think the bass plays an E (2nd fret) instead. I've put Am* to indicate where a full Am will sound a little off since it's really an Am/G or Am/F situation with the riff, so play accordingly. Additionally, the first Am is really an Am/C if you are playing the riff, but since the bass plays an A, a regular Am will sound fine.
