Capo 1 A G F E Staring into fire's eyes Embers flickering and sighing in my mind again Am Light a cigarette and smile How the stars are ours tonight How the time has passed us by G Dm Am I've heard the summer's breeze and Bitter evening, singing in my mind again Curse her melodies to night... Dm Bound in dark how we're aligned Blood and memories (of home) F Am Like the autumn leaves As the knife is sharpening Of pretty red and gold and E7 Dm Dying on the road Murder summer's ease and Oh honey, where you taking me?! Am Fate's a coin I've seen, a side for life and dying Turn their gaieties awry... Dm F A flood of memories (of home) Like the autumn leaves Am Of pretty red and gold and E7 Dying on the road Dm F Oh honey, where you driving me?! E7 I've heard eternity in where the tide is rising "verse is E, D, Amin, E, Amin, C, E, B, Amin Chorus: Amin, C, E, B, Amin, C, B (but as a bar chord this time)... riff is just stepping back to the E, rinse and repeat, enjoy!" from youtube.com/watch?v=wyAFGaph08E \/ Assuming his version is played with an equivalent tuning to capo 6th Verse: Am G Dm Am Dm F Am E7 Dm Chorus: Dm F Am E7 Dm F E7 The F chord in the verse works better as a Dm/F in my opinion, and the E7 chords also sound good with an emphasisd G#, either on the bass (played as E7/G#) or high e string. He also plays an almost drone on the two highest strings (mostly during the chorus), a D on the B string (3rd fret) and E on the e string (open) which would turn the Am into an Asus4, G into a Gadd13 etc. The E7 would be unchanged, just make sure to play the 7th note (D) high rather than low.
